The current training that is done (June 2019) at Logan Committee of the Ageing is:
Often run the first Wednesday of each month, this is where we have multiple tutors providing training and support on a wide range of technologies, including but not restricted to Computers, Phones, Digital Cameras, Tablets, Iphones and Ipads. Students, where possible, bring there devises with them and can be shown how use them based on the questions students ask.
LACOTA is assoucated and a member of The Good Things Foundation (Australia)
Should we have sufficient interest, we can run training courses on specific areas of technology, be it complete beginners courses or more advanced than complete beginners courses. Although these have not been run over the last few years some of the courses that previously been run are:
An offshoot of LACOTA training is a group of people that get together called the “PC Coffee group get together” that currently (June 2019) meet at various locations to teach and learn technology. It is run by Gary Volz , whos email address is gazzaozzie@gmail.com
