No Junk Mail

How they get around No Junk Mail

Recently I have discovered that some enginious people are using some smart ways to put, what I consider, ther junkmail in my letter box that has a sign, No Junk Mail.

The Tree Looper

I went to the letter box the other day and noticed there was something hanging from one of the palm trees that was over hanging in the letter box. It was a business card that had been sticky taped to one of the palm frons.

That was real sneaky, because it wasn't actually in my letterbox.

Local independent candidate for council

Today I found a notice that I initially I thought was from the council about curbside pickup for Forestdale. On closer inspection I see it's actually from a person that is running as an independent for division 7, I assume in an upcoming council election.

I assume he would argue is actually providing information about curbside pickup and it just happens to have a promotion for himself as potential council. Another ingenious why of getting beyond my no junk mail sign.

Real estate agents

I often get promotional material from real estate agents in my no-junk mail letter box. It also has a sighn that says Australia Post only, no political or real estate. On contacting the real estate agents they tell me they use Australia Post to deliver their junk mail. I'm not sure what Australia Post policy is on delivering bulk email where there is a no junkmail sign?

Then there are real estate agents that actually address mail to our street address showing to the owner.

I guess at least they are having to pay for the postage, and with postage costs continuing to increase, eventually it will be unconomical for them.

Bottom line of all this, is I don't want the information they are providing.

At least ther are laws about unsolicited email
