-The cost per unit of electricity does not fluxate as much as the cost of petrol or diesel

-Ordinary people can generate ther own electricity

-You can put fuel/power/energy back in to your fuel/power/energy tank (battery) practicality every time you back off on the accelerator or you are going down hill. You can't do that with a ICE vehicle

-You can use Electricity for other than transport

-You can get upto 90 days before you have to pay for the Electricity you have used

-You can arrange to purchase electricity, at certain times, at a less expensive price

-Ther are some organisations, like shopping centres and some employers, that will provide electricity for you for free. This is less likely to happen with petroleum products.

-Because of most of the above the cost of electricity compared to petrol and diesel is less and that different is only going to get larger.

-People don't have to breathe carcinogenic fumes

-People don't have their hearing damaged.

- Because ther are far fewer parts in an electric motor then an internal combustion engine, electric cars are cheaper to maintain and should be cheaper to manufacture

-In Australia electricity does not have to be imported, compared to petroleum products, that do. Petroleum products are Australia's largest import by value. Other than the monetary savings, this makes Australia less reliant on overseas suppliers.

-Ther is a finite amount of oil on this planet that took millions of years to be created, which is impossible to happen again, compared to the energy we can get directly or indirectly from the sun to make Electricity. The sun will outlast our planet and the human race
