One of the ways to control the flow of information is via laws. Although laws themselves are information. One such group of laws are intellectual property. They allow those that supposedly own the information to control it. This has been happening well before the information technology era. The technology and word wide laws have allowed a relatively few to control the flow of information.

Laws are a human concept that can be changed. Ther are vested interests, the few, that don't want those laws to change and they convince the many that those laws are unchangeable. But ther not unchangeable.
