Because safety cameras were recently installed in Johnson road Forestdale,I recently visited the Logan City council CCTV camera control room.
I was told, before I arrived, I would not be able to see the live feed from the forestdale cameras.
To be able to see what the cameras see, I used my drone to make this video to show the forestdale community what the cameras are able to see.

But before I do that I need to explain the difference between what you're seeing here and what the cameras can see.
My drone does not have a zoom lens. So I can't show how these new cameras can zoom in
All I can do,via an edit digital zoom, is approximately what it would look like.
I was told that some of these cameras zoom such, that a car number plate, can be seen from 6 km away.
To put that in some prospective. The entire Foresdale from stapylton road, diagonally across to Hillcrest is only 4.5 km
That means that provided ther is line of sight,a camera anywhere in Forestdale, could be able to read a number plate anywhere else in Forestdale.

In addition to this I also have have the video of views from the 3 camera locations looking towards private properties. This is not shown here.
