A story about how 10 guys came to go for a ride in tank type vehicles , Armored Personnel Carrier (APC)

That can go back over 60 years

Myself, Geoff, Dave and Michael all stated school together at Westgarth Central School in 1957. We were in Prep, Grade one and two together and in 1960 we met Ivan in Grade 3.

Other than Ivan, we all went to Northcote High in 1966, where we may Ray.

We have all kept in touch with each other since.

Ivan was driving along ridge rd in the area looking for places to take photos. When he returned home he looked up the surrounding area on Google map and when he zoomed in it showed South Gippsland Tank Adventures with a link to ther web, site. He thought, that would be interesting to do, so he told his brothers, Fred and Collin about it who in turn told some of ther old school mates, Peter and Johney Mc Conachy , and Ray, from the Gilderoy Powelltown area.

Ivan rang Dave and Ray and ask if they was interested in going. They said yes and Dave suggested Ivan should ring me and see if I wanted to come down from Queensland. Which I did.

So I came from Brisbane, Ray from Bonnie Doom, Michael from Echuca Moama. Johney Peter and Ray, Fred and Collin from the Powelltown area
