Today, whilst shopping, I notice some stores, that are not required to do so, still have the QR code sighs up for use of the check in Qld phone app.

I asked the greeting lady at the entrance to Kmart why the signs are still ther considering ther is now no legal requirement to do check ins at such stores. She said it was because some people still want to check in. This included herself.

Considering this information is still being accumulated in a Queensland government database and contract tracing is no longer being performed, and the collected information is supposedly destroy after 56 days ,I wonder the purpose of it all.

But then l suppose there are heaps of other data that is accumulated for no particular reason.
