The letters that Ray sent to us whilst he was overseas in 1977

with Glen moving to the Czech republic, he had lots of old documents and a shredder. so I set to and shredded all the documents he wanted me to.

whilst I was at it, I thought I might as well do a bit of a clean up and got down all our old paper based tax files we have stored up in the ceiling. Ther where also lots of other documents up there.

today, 13/9/2020, I came across some old correspondence. in particular letters that Ray wrote to us while he was over seas in 1977.

So I have photograph them and put them here.

some younger people may not realise it but ther was no such thing as email in 1977, and overseas phone calls were very expensive. letters were the main form of communication. I actually went one better, at the time, and we recorded a cassette which we sent to Ray. wondering if you still have it.

unlike emails letters and even when you send a cassette you have no copy for yourself. so Ray has probably never seen these letters since he sent them.
