Lazy car opening can not be switched off. Leant on fob that was in my pocket and it puts all windows down from at a distance without me knowing and it happened to rain so car got wet inside without me knowing about it.
Adapative cruse control does not break going down hill, but it could do it
Speed set does not auto set by speed limit signs Even though it says so in manual and on screen
Can't switch off radio. Can mute it or switch off whole of infotainment system but not just switch off the radio.
The mute function is forgotten when the car is switched off and when switched back on, the radio comes on when I don't want it to
No function to stop doors automatically locking after obtaining a certain speed.
No ability to drive in petrol motor mode only.
To have Heater on, makes petrol engine start. Not necessary as fully electric cars can be heated without a petrol engine. Should be able to do it either way.
Have to go through multiple screens to set HVAC to recycle, when it could be achieved from previous screens.
Aircon compressor does not run whilst car is charging, even though the aircon fan, does operate. Same applies when in accessory mode.
Can not switch off camera functions
Auto camera function switches off to soon when going around corners. Should have a user selectable time.
Camera function can not be used over a certain speed. Even though ther is a physical switch for it.
The windscreen demist button switches on the petrol motor and there's no need to. The HVAC cooling function does not require a petrol engine to be running.
Ther is nothing permanently displayed to say if the vehicle is in EV or Auto mode. The diagram of the car does show it but that screen's not on all the time. The EV switch has a indication light on it, but you have to look down to see it. Why not have it like the D for Drive or R for Reverse, on the instrument cluster.
Ther does not seem to be a way to switch the car back to accessories mode without pressing the stop button and then pressing it a second time without the brake pedal depressed?
No ability to set the time after which accessory mode switches off
Ther is no indication that regenerative breaking will not work when the batteries full.
The regenerative breaking does not appear to work when adaptive cruise control is on. At least that is what the display shows.
No way of releasing park break if battery is flat.
When using the phone via Google auto none of the keys work, like home key, so can't get to HVAC screen.
Sometimes can not switch from drive to reverse, for no apparent reason. This could be a BIG safety issue.
Sometimes boot will not open and have to switch off car switch it on again, to make it work.
Not seem to be able to open boot whilst charging from the boot door or the button on the console. But after a period of time it can be opened.
MY 2022 HS+EV with about 12,000 ks on it.
Parked the car today and got out and I think I locked it. If I did, it would be by pressing the button on the drivers door handle. No noise from the car. I had the Fob in my pocket.
Some time later, I come back to the car, still with the Fob in my pocket, and pressed the same button and the car beeps at me and will not unlock. Then I notice that the infotainment display is on i can hear the radio. The car is still switched on. I try unlocking with the button a few more times with the same result. I try pressing the unlock on the Fob and it still does not unlock.
I then took the physical key out of the Fob and used to successfully unlock the car. I feel everyone should do a test run if doing this.
This evening I tried to duplicate the situation and could not do it.
If I tried to lock the car while it was still switched on it just beeped at me. I even left the car switch on for about half an hour without being in it to see if it locked automatically. It did not
Has anyone else experienced this situation?
I could just put it down to a software glitch, but it seems that ther are a few of these happening. Others that have happened more than once, is the boot not opening the petrol flap not opening and the car refusing to move out of Park. In those situations I would switch the car off and turn it back on again, to get beyond the problem. But I was not able to do that this time because I was locked out of the car
Other than the software glitch, some other reason that could cause it to happen, that I can think of are:
I did not switch off the car and it later locked. Itself. I was not able to repeat this, but perhaps I may not have done things in the exact same sequence Reasonable likely
It is written in the software that it will happen based on certain events, like on a particular date or after some thing like the doors opened X number of times. Technically possible but unlikely.
A car thief had tried to steal the car via generating a fake fob signal, but switched on the car instead of unlocking it. Reasonable possible
A signal from another fob caused the car to switch on. Reasonable possible.
Some car computer programer just wants to see how much they can do with modern cars Not very likely
It's a bug in the software Very likely.
I would be interested in any other ideas others may have.
I now are very happy that I had previously done a test of using the physical key, so was able to use it to unlock the car. But I had forgotten that you have to pull the door handle to replace the physical lock cover. I eventually worked that out.
I had our PEHV for about 6 months and mainly run it on electric so have charged it many times on an ordinary power point. Never had a problem.
I have a power meter that I bought from a local electronic store plugged in to the power point. I put the electricity usage and cost into a spreadsheet once a week.
From that power metre I run an extension lead across the roof beams to the other end of our carport where I have got a hook that I hang the car charger on, when I use it. I keep the car changer in the boot and connect it to the car and extension lead ever time we get home. It only takes about 30 seconds to set it up.
Often if I'm going past the carport, if I see the car is fully charged, I disconnect the charger and put it in the boot.
Otherwise it's only a 30 second task to do it before we go for a drive. I find I spend more time wiping down the car then connecting or disconnecting the charger.
