Purpose of this training Video

This video has two purposes;

  1. - To expand your knowledge of what gestures are and how many different permutations of gestures exist (My Experience)
  2. - To explain what is happening in relation to the current and future use of gestures and particularly full screen gestures

What are Gestures?

Similar to what you do with your body. Like Waving hello to someone or gesture for someone to come to you. That is hand gestures. But ther are also other body language gestures. Like raising you eyebrow.

Phone gestures are what you physically do to your phone (usually but not always with your hands) to get your phone to do something

Computers did not have Gestures

Computers were relatively easy, all they have is a mouse that you could use only a couple of different ways.

Touch screens on a phone opened up a hole can of worms. There are probably thousands of ways of using gestures on a touch screen to start or use functionality.

The below gestures may not work on your phone. Mine is a Android Phone With Android Version 7.0. Eg the gestures are different on a Iphone

The Future is moving to Full Screen Gestures

Basically full screen gestures means that the indicators that you currently have on your phone screen, in case of the Android phones the home back and recently used buttons at the bottom of the home screen And in the case of the iPhone the home button will no longer be displayed.

They will be replaced with some form of a gesture

What will be the consequence of this?

How to learn more about Gestures

From a Google search. Answer the make and model of your phone followed by what you want to try and do. Or enter gestures, followed by the make and model of your phone.

Rather than reading about gestures it is better to watch a video. It will be difficult to describe in words how to use a gesture and what function it provides. So a video would be much better option for Learning how to use gestures
