On the Forestdale Facebook page someone asked about having to complete a survey of income and housing for the Australian bureau of statistics and that it asked some very personal questions.

A person replied saying

“The only compulsory thing you ever have to do is your taxes and vote if you're registered.”

So I Replied with:

Just a few of the other many compulsory things you have to do are:

• Register births
• Have children educated
• Have a licence to drive a car
• Register your marrage
• Get a permit to build a house
• Get a permit to operate certain business
• Have a police check to work with children
• Performance Jury duty
• Provide indentification to open a bank account and many other things like having a mobile phone number
• Declare all transactions above a certain limit
• Provide indentification to get Government benefits
• Get a permit to sell certain foods
• Get a permit to own a gun
• Be registered to work as a doctor, a nurse or many other health professionals
• Have a passport to re enter the country
• Do whatever the government tells you to do
• and have a certificate to prove you are dead

We live in one of the least free non dictatorship countries in the world.
