Multiple types of Democracy

Ther are multiple types of Democracy.

We and most of the western world have a Representative Democracy, or Indirect Democracy There is also Direct Democracy. Look it up.

One country that has it is Switzerland. In studies it was rated as one on the most Democratic countries in the world.

I'm sure many Australians did not give ther lives to be able to vote for politicians. They gave ther lives to be free from oppression, suppression and repression. But they may not have realized that ther are other forms of democracy that, if universal, most likely would not have resulted in them dying

They did what they were told, often without question by those that were supposed to represent them. Supposed to represent them, “ to make laws for the PEACE, order, and good government of the Commonwealth with respect to….”. Direct quote from the Australian Constitution. My emphasis.

The form of government we have, Representative Democracy, does not provide “Good government”, today. Direct Democracy could. The original democracy as practiced by the Greeks, was direct. It did provide Good government.

Even though the voting system has been changed many times, to the advantage of those that supposedly represent us, ther is still some ways to move to a direct democracy. One such way is voting informal.
