I ride my ebike through Forestdale & surrounding suburbs, with my mobile phone mounted on The handlebar recording video most of the time.
As of consequence I've now got over 4000 video files from 2019 to now, over 3 terabytes of data.
It's very easy and inexpensive to store all that. Ask me if you want to no how
But to use it all is another matter.
I've noticed the grass change from being very dry in the past to very green recently. I thought id go back through the videos and pick out a selection of them to show this happening Easier said than done, with the most likely, thousands of hours of video.
As the software I use on my phone to capture the video breaks them up into 3 minute sections, often when I switch off the recording that small section of video will be much smaller than the otherwise 300 Mb files for each 3 minute section, because it only maybe a few seconds of recording.
I searched for a way to extract only the video files that were between 1 and 51 megabytes in size. Windows could not do it. But luckily Linux could.
That resulted in 400 files.
Then I had to reduce them down to 40 of 50 to make the video above.
That I had to do manually.
I use Kimaster video editing on my phone to make the video.
Because the app I use on my phone (Autobot Blackbox) also records the GPS location date time and speed, I no where and when each bit of video was taken. Also because I have the usually surrounding video I no how I got to the point where the video was taken.
This video is only from 2019 to 2020. If have still to do 2021 and 2022
Some people might have never gone to the places I've been to.
Especially some of the bushy locations.
So see if you can recognise all these places?
