Johnson road peveral street lights faulty

If you don't want to read all this, Im basically saying it's very difficult to get possible faulty traffic lights, that are causing congestion, fixed.

Anyone traveling east on Johnston Rd in the last few days would realize the congestion at any daylight hours. As I ride my ebike on the footpath and see what is happening. In my assessment ther appears to be a fault with the west bound right turn ground loop that would turn into the forest, old crematorium site at Peveral st. When these ground loops, that are used to trigger lights, fail it reverts to a timing sequence. In this case it is holding up the Johnson Rd traffic heading east. Cars are being stopped on Johnston Rd at the Peveral st light for no reason. Cars sit at the intersection for quite some time with no cars on the other road. That is causing a bankup of traffic all the way back towards Carol Park.

I no, because of previous times, I have made numerous inquiries about the Peveral Johnson Rd lights, that they are controlled by Logan.

I rang Logan Council yesterday and after taking 3 minutes to navigate the automated part of ther phone system, it told me I was 9th in the queue. I used the option to ask for a call back. As of this morning I never got a call back.

I rang today and was 3rd in the Queue and again requested a call back. In about a half hour, someone did ring me back. I explained the situation and they said they would have to put me on hold while they found out who they had to speak to. We agree that rather than that they will ring me back.

If you are sitting in a traffic jam today, or possibly the next few days or weeks at least you no how I have tried to fix the issue, currently without any success.

Having spoken to traffic engineers and seeing what happens, it appears to me that there are not enough people repairing traffic lights or even monitoring what they are doing. More traffic lights are being put up all the time without any extra human resources to maintain them. I can think of numerous ways of overcoming these problems but I would be interested to find out what others think?
