In our society, we are all treated as if we are criminals or are performing criminal acts unless we have some documentation to prove otherwise?
We have to have some sort of certification weather it be paper based or digital that proves we are not criminals.
A current example is vaccination certificates that proves that you have been inoculated against the covid-19 virus.
Certain laws require that you have proof that you have been vaccinated before you're allowed to attend certain venues. You can't just go to a venue and say, oh I have been vaccinated. So youre basically treated as if you're not going tell the truth, so like a criminal.
Yet in reality the majority of people are honest. Ask by somebody if they have been inoculated, they will tell the truth. But the legal system seems to assume, incorrect, most people will not tell the truth. Most likely because some people wont.
This would seem to indicate that those that do tell the truth are being penalized by those that dont. Does it have to be that way?
We supposedly live in a democratic society whereby the majority rules. Based on the above it wood seem that this in not the case, because of the minority. We have to have certification, rather than just taking a persons word.
Its possible that an argument could be put, that if you just allow people to say they are certified for something that more people will be likely to become liars, because it may present some opportunity for them. That would be taking a very cynical attitude about society in general. Obviously some people do have that attitude.
Is that why we are all treated as criminals unless we prove otherwise?
Many other examples of show that the majority are assumed to be criminals unless they show certification to prove otherwise.
It starts with a birth certificate. Moves on to various educational certificates, licences and authorities and even goes to death certificates.
