Bike riding around Forestdale and sourands

I ride a collapsible bike most days through Forestdale and surrounding suburbs. Some of you may have seen me as the bike has a wooden box bolted on the pack rack. I made it at the Greenbank RSL mens shed.

Yes the tracks around Forestdale have detereated dramatically the last few months because of the weather making the vegetation grow almost exponentially.

It is quite evident that the council does not have the resources to be able to handle it.

But it in not only bush tracks. I only a few days ago reported to the council that ther is a vine with thorns hanging right in the middle of a concrete sealed pathway in Forestdale that is at chest height. If it was not initially noticed, it could seriously injury even a pedestrian. Like take ther eye out.

The footpath on Johnston Rd were the pine tree are, is often completely covered in pine needles and pine cones. I report this to council about once a year an it gets partly cleared, sometimes, but returns to its dangerous state a few weeks later.

I back on to one of the Forestdale reservers but are currently unable to ride through it because even though the meter high grass was cut, the dead cut grass gets caught in my bikes chain and gears causing me to fall off my bike.

On the steep down Footpath of Johnston Rd where it approaches central court is a telecommunications pit with a broken lid that has been broken for about 5 years. Initially it has a witches hat on it. Then nothing for a few years, Now it has some fencing around it. But that sometimes fall over, creating an additional hazard.

It appears that ther is some demarcation despite as to who is responsible for it.

Seems that, it has to be, that the rider beware.
